Nighttime

Those nights when cruel darkness comes
Throws its cloak over hope and joy
When all is lost, or gone away
When nights oppressive manner may
Defeat the victim with wicked glee
Those are them that sadness breeds

Then moonlight pours it's glow about
Casts the cloak to the ground
Brings light to the end of day
That there is hope where shimmers lay
Triumphant beams with joyous dance
To bring alive nocturnal lands

But sleep where love accompanies
The ghost of touch and tender kiss
Brings warmth, serenity and a smile
To those afflicted by loves guile
So darkness nor a moonlit night
Will the dreamers ever tear apart
